clean Water Challenge2x the impact for clean water!
Imagine the difference we can make in the world if we could provide access to clean water across Liberia, Cambodia, Sierra Leone, Ghana, and Haiti. Because #WaterMatters, we are raising $1.3 million by December 31 and, if we succeed, committed partners will match that for a total of $2.6 million. We could impact the lives of nearly 240,000 people, including women like Loa, who in turn are transforming their communities! Will you join us?
Loa lost everything.
When the market for her crops crashed, Loa and her husband had to sell off all their belongings—including their home. Hopeless and with nowhere to go, Loa knew something needed to change.
But without access to clean water, how could Loa take advantage of a new opportunity to transform her life?
We envision a world where Loa has access to clean water because we understand first-hand how water affects her and her family holistically—her health, safety, education, and her ability to take charge of her future and economic livelihood. Clean water has everything to do with it.

Start your own fundraiser
Let’s go! Gather your friends, family, youth group, or church.
Style a fundraiser for clean water access starting now until December 31. Choose a goal like one of these to support women like Loa and her family around the world.
Water Quality Lab Test
One child under five dies every 60 seconds from diarrheal disease as a result of unsafe drinking water. A donation of $125 could fund a high-quality lab test for water sources to check safety.
90% of the clean water burden falls on women, leaving no time for other income-generating activities for the family. A donation of $800 could fund an accessible, closer, high-quality handpump.
On the road to sanitation facilities far away, children are left vulnerable to sexual violence. A donation of $5,000 could fund the construction of a school bathroom and help with basic sanitation access.
Borehole Water Well
Children can spend 6-8 hours a day fetching water, keeping them from school. A donation of $10,000 could fund a borehole water well that’s closer to home and gives girls like Hasanatu more time in school.
Water & Sanitation Emergency Response
When disaster strikes, the most vulnerable people are in urgent need of clean water access and sanitation supplies. A donation of $40,000 could fund an emergency response team, including a leader and a volunteer, a desalination kit, 2 generators, 500 water filters, 100 solar mats, 100 tarps.
