Rehabilitating Wells in Liberia

Dr. Jo Anne Lyon, Founder of World Hope International, recently spoke with the World Hope Country Directors for Liberia and Sierra Leone, who commented to her that, “There are a lot of wells that are broken and if we can rehab these wells, then we can do it much quicker; we can begin to get clean water and then we can help with the soap for sanitation, so people can wash their hands.”

Now, World Hope International is working to rehabilitate broken down and dysfunctional wells in Liberia during COVID-19 to help communities have safe and reliable access to clean water for sanitation, hygiene, and well-being. The wells not only are being repaired, but hand washing stations with soap are being set up at each well in order to further limit the spread of COVID-19.
