World Hope has mobilized our disaster relief volunteers along with our network of local and global nonprofits, corporate and logistics partners to help provide clean water to communities in the region affected by Hurricane Fiona.
According to news reports, Hurricane Fiona made landfall in the Dominican Republic early Monday morning and the heavy rain produced by the hurricane will continue to produce life-threatening catastrophic mudslides, landslides, and flash floods across the region.
As Hurricane Fiona moves east toward the Turks and Caicos Islands, the National Hurricane Center says that it will likely strengthen, potentially becoming a Category 3 or higher hurricane by Wednesday.
